Creation, Inspiration, Journey

My creative process

I am a visual artist working with materials. Materials are at the heart of my work: I search, I recycle, I transform, I accumulate. My process unfolds in three stages:

First, the collection.

I hunt for bargains, I collect, I salvage. Vintage and graphic objects, magazine clippings, newspapers, instruction manuals, paper bags, postcards, soda cans... each element carries a story. I upcycle, I create something beautiful with all the collected elements.

Then, the assembly.

This is the central moment. I glue, I layer, I compose. The elements clash or respond to one another. The artwork emerges in an instinctive balance between chaos and structure.

Finally, the highlighting and harmonization.

I intervene with paint to reveal, unify, and energize. Colors, writing, splashes, and drips activate the surface and create rhythm.

Three concepts permeate my work:

MOVEMENT

Energy is omnipresent in my work. The gesture is free, instinctive. Splashes, projections, drips convey an immediate energy, a living painting. Energy is desire, it is life.

MATTER

I don't like smoothness and shine. I prefer texture, irregularities, imperfection. The canvas becomes a living space, dense, almost organic.

COLOR

Color asserts itself. Sometimes vibrant, sometimes muted, always instinctive. It structures and resonates.

My creations unfold in collections, each exploring a specific artistic direction.

My inspirations

My work engages with several major currents in modern and contemporary art, notably Pop Art, Action Painting, and Abstract Expressionism.

I am drawn to the direct energy of Action Painting, the freedom of gesture, and the space it leaves for chance.

Pop Art inspires me through its relationship to images, everyday objects, and advertising and visual culture.

Abstract Expressionism, for its part, nourishes my connection to depth and emotional intensity.

All these influences are present in my practice, and I reinterpret them in my own way.

Architecture and design also play an important role; they are an integral part of my life, a true passion.

Finally, the power and beauty of nature remain an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me.

Its strength and resilience amaze and sustain me.

From my studio window, I am immersed in a verdant world where trees, flowers, and birds are ever-present.

My journey

After a serious health issue during my first pregnancy, I re-evaluated my life and decided to dedicate myself fully to art. I was 34 years old.

This radical change of direction marked the beginning of a total commitment to my practice, which I have pursued for over twenty years.
