Today, the painting presented is called "No More", it was sold last year and is located in a beautiful apartment in Nice.
The idea:
"No more" was born rather from a restrictive situation and a feeling of loneliness...
In 2009, the crisis was starting and I was in a period where I wasn't selling any paintings, I had run out of money and therefore no more blank canvases, hardly any more paint...
At the same time, I took inspiration from the following painting that I saw with my family last year in Barcelona.
The work of Antoni Tapies is an important reference in my work, and this piece particularly resonated with me.

The realization:
So, I recovered an old canvas that was already painted and I glued pieces of cardboard (a material that is typically present regardless of the circumstances...) and I worked with acrylic paint keeping in mind this "sheet metal curtain" effect.
The red stain with its drips came to me as an obvious choice, it symbolizes something like sadness, like questioning the future...
I then added the expression "No more" because I had nothing more to offer, nothing more to add...
I have a special affection for this abstract canvas, something familiar, intimate.
